Hey everyone, Team Beachbody Coach Joe Malone here. There are a lot of different things that people do trying to get people motivated. They talk about setting goals, how much your self-esteem will improve, how much healthier you will feel, and much more. I am going to take a different route here. I am going to come at you from the heart, and guilt you into getting healthy. If this doesn’t work, well, you’ll know what I think by the end of the article.
Facts About health
Here are some simple facts that I need to point out before my guilt trip can work.
1 – Eating healthy reduces your risk of cancer, diabetes, heart disease and much more.
2 – Exercising reduces your risk of cancer, diabetes, heart disease and much more.
3 – Reducing your stress levels can reduce your risk of cancer, heart disease and much more.
Are you catching on to my trend yet? OK, now to take it to the next level. When you eat healthy and exercise, you are likely to live longer. Not only are you likely to live longer, but you are likely to have a better quality of life. You are probably thinking one of 2 things right now. 1 – I know, that is why I take care of myself. 2 – It’s my life, I can do what I want with it. If you agree with the first, AWESOME! If you are thinking that it’s your life and you can do what you want, get ready for the guilt. Are you married? Do you have any kids? What about your parents, close friends, and everyone else that cares about you? By deciding not to take care of yourself, you are showing how little you care about them. Those people love you, and they want you to be around for a long time. The choice is yours. You will either take care of yourself or you won’t. Yes, some circumstances are out of our control. Accidents happen, people unexpectedly die from various things. For the most part though, you get to say to the people that love you one of two things.
I love you, and I want to be around a long time to spend time with you.
I care more about eating what I want to eat and not making time to exercise than I do about being in your life, and having you in mine.
OUCH! How’d that feel?
You may think that I am going overboard saying that, but, well, you are wrong! Sorry to say it like that, but I fully believe it to be true. OK, let me address some of the excuses that you may have.
