Step 2 of How To Get Ripped – Nutrition
Let me start by telling you a few key things NOT to do.
1 – DO NOT use diet pills. These pills market themselves as one of the best ways to get ripped. Have you ever asked yourself how they work? Most of them do one of 2 things.
– The flush mass amounts of water out of your body, resulting in very temporary weight loss, since you are simply losing water weight. There is a reason that your body is made up mostly of water. Don’t take a pill that gets rid of it. Use common sense.
– They “increase your metabolism”. What does that mean? Simply put, they increase your heart rate. Your heart rate increases when you exercise because there is an increased demand placed on your body, and your heart needs to work harder to keep up with it. That simply makes sense. When you are exercising, as your heart rate gets really high, your fatigue, and will eventually need to stop. Taking a pill that increases your heart rate is very dangerous. Each pill effects different people in different ways, and far too many people take more pills then what is suggested. It is a very risky way to try to lose weight, and you will develop the tones muscles that you are looking for.
2 – I know that when you hear it, it seems to make sense. If you are trying to get rid of fat, why not just stop eating it? Eliminating fat from your diet is NOT how to get ripped! There are vitamins, mainly A, E, D and K, that are fat soluble. That means that without fat, your body can not process them. That can lead to a lot of major health risks. While you may cut back on the fat that you eat, NEVER eliminate it from your diet.
Proper nutrition is very important if you want to know How To Get Ripped. Think of the typical healthy diet. You want lots of fruits and vegetables, lean meats, lots of water, whole grains, and yes, even healthy fats. Most people, even many trainers and fitness coaches are not familiar with the glycemic index. Simply put, it looks at a food and gives it a score based on how it affects your blood sugar. The lower the number, the less variation it causes in your blood sugar, which is a very good thing, both for your health, and as one of the ways to get ripped. The higher the food falls on the glycemic index, the more fluctuation it cause in your blood sugar.
