My 8 Hour Diet Review
This diet goes against everything that we have been taught about how to lose weight. Does that mean that it is right or wrong? No. It does mean that it needs to be looked at closer. Here is the closer look. By limiting your food intake to an 8 hour span, you are essentially fasting for 16 hours each day. Because of this, your body needs to get it’s energy from stored fat, which results in weight loss. That is the simple way to look at it. Sounds great, right? If it were that simple, yes. Here are a few of my concerns.
- By eating your days worth of calories in 8 hours, and not taking anything in for 16 hours, your blood sugar will vary greatly throughout the day.
- Fasting for 16 hours can be extremely challenging, and result in “cheating” on a regular basis.
Now, there are ways to reduce the chance of these things happening. If you eat the right foods during the 8 hours, and at the right times, you will reduce the severeness of your blood sugar fluctuation, which will help reduce hunger pains and cravings. I believe that the secret to having true success with the 8 Hour Diet is Shakeology.
